Estel "Wayne" Cruse, 69, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 15, 1944, to the late Estel and Tressie Lee Cruse, in Paragould, Ark. He attended school at Oak Grove, Ark. A skilled crafsman, mechanic and handyman, he graciously volunteered his skills to others. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors--gardening, hunting and fishing-cherishing the friends and family he shared these pastimes with. He was an avid golfer and passionate fan of the Razorbacks, who cheered on his children and grandchildren in their athletic endeavors. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two children: Tonya Cruse-Burrow and husband Cliff, and Tory and wife Shannon; loving spousal companion of 25 years: Dorothy and her son, Randy Desgranges and wife Debbie; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; siblings: Elva Holder, Johnny Cruse, Donnie Cruse, David Lawson, Tony Lawson, Judy McGee, and Rick Cruse, and his dear aunt, Ilene "Faucie" Claycomb, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Private family visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 10 a.m., with open to visitation to follow at 11 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills. Funeral service will be held at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills at 1 p.m. Interment and graveside service will follow at Ida Mission Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark.
