Marion E. "Scotty" Scott

Marion E. "Scotty" Scott, 61, of Pine Bluff died Friday, April 4, 2014 at his home. He was born July 4, 1952 in Alexandria, La. to Howard and Flora Ross Scott. He received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School. He attended George Washington University and Community College of the Air Force. Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sgt. He was a Disabled Veteran. While in the Air Force, he worked in Nuclear Medicine. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pine Bluff Ward, and also was an avid musician, playing the guitar and singing. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Scott; two sons, John (Shelley) Scott of Brunswick, Ga., Russell Scott of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two daughters, Anna (Shawn) Knight of Arlington, Texas, Amanda (Scott) Nickerson of Fort Worth, Texas; two step-children, Bobby (Laura) Dueitt of Flintstone, Ga., Britney (Brad) Pierce of Mobile, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, James (Bim) Ross of Pine Bluff, Freddie (Butch) Ross of Sheridan; and a sister, Joann Wood of Pine Bluff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Scott and Flora Ross Scott Bussiere; and his step-father, Ronnie Bussiere. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Bishop Vincent Stetzler and Scott Nickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, by Ralph Robinson and Son. The family will receive friends at Robinson's, 5-7 p.m., Monday evening. Online register: www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
