Dorothy Dean Green, age 79, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born November 24, 1934, in Pine Valley, Oklahoma. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Pilgrim's Pride in De Queen and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church near Dierks. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Beulah Chappel Callahan and her husband, Kenneth Earl Green. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny Green of Dierks and Tony and Colette Green of Sherwood, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Charles Linville of Joshua, Texas; her grandchildren, Daniel Green, Joel Green, Drew Linville, Kena Linville, and Bethany Woolverton and her husband Colby, and Michael Kennedy and three great-grandchildren, Ryland Linville, Audrey Kennedy and Hannah Kennedy. Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, in the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church near Dierks with J.W. Gilbert and Robert Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery in Broken Bow, Okla. under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
