BESSIE NEIL BRINKLEY JOHNSON, 83, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2014. She was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Enola, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Billie Johnson; her parents, Elvert and Maggie Brinkley; three sisters, Virginia Johnson, Hilda Lane, and Marie Acre; and son-in-law, Jim Harris. She is survived by four children: Patricia Harris of Little Rock, Kenneth Johnson (Dana) of North Little Rock, Peggy Kelly (Robert) of Fort Smith, and Timothy (Cindy) Johnson of Little Rock. She has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Ruth Newell, Louise McGinty, and Marion McGhee Powell as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Bessie was a faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Rose City. As a devoted wife, she spent her life loving and caring for her family. She was the sweetest, most lovable mother a person could have. She always encouraged those she loved to "be nice!" Visitation will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock from 6-8 on Monday, April 21, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, and will be officiated by Bro. Rick Etheridge and Bro. Robert Kelly. Interment will be at Arkansas Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Kyle Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Caleb Harris, Matt Taylor, Michael Stout, Joe Deeter, and Tracy Krack.
