Charles William Robinette

Charles William Robinette, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 17, 1931 at Conway, Arkansas, the son of the late John Harrison and Lyda Bush Robinette. He was a graduate of Conway High School and the University of Central Arkansas. "Coach" Robinette was deeply involved in Sheridan Schools, as both an educator and coach, from 1954-1990. He taught Science, Physical Education and Driver's Education, and coached Junior High Basketball and Senior High Football. He was a member of Sheridan First United Methodist Church. Mr. Robinette died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, at the age of 82. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dr. Joe Robinette, C.H. Robinette, George Robinette, and John Calvin Robinette, who was lost at sea in the North Atlantic during WWII; and his sister, Sarah Faye Wisinger. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Hardin Robinette; son, Dr. John Robinette (Lezleigh) all of Sheridan, and daughter, Patsy Reynolds (Mark), of East End; grandsons, Steven Reynolds of Little Rock, Kyle Reynolds (Amy) of Birmingham, Alabama, Harrison Haze Robinette of Sheridan; granddaughter, Chesleigh Robinette of Sheridan; great granddaughter, Lila Reynolds; brother, Robert Robinette (Jackie) of Conway. Numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. John Embrey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Conway, at 4 p.m. Visitation is Saturday, 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Youth program at Sheridan First United Methodist Church, P.O.
