Kenneth Hennessee Benson, D.D.S., born 06-08-1921 died 12-01-2014. A native of Walnut Ridge, Ark., he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; his parents, Clinton and Ressie Benson and brother, Russell. He is survived by daughter, Suzanne Smith (Gary) and numerous relatives. Kenneth grew up working the cotton fields of the family farm. He was a member of Aurora Lodge #423 in Walnut Ridge, Ark. He received a B.S. from Arkansas State College. Kenneth enlisted in the Army during WWII and he helped prepare troops to go to Europe. After the war, he married and received a D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where he practiced for 57 years. Throughout his life he lived out his Christian faith by his actions and desire to help others. His quiet and steady nature was a fixture of strength and comfort for friends, patients and family members. A memorial service celebrating his life was held in Dallas, Texas on 12-05-2014.
