Mary Paty Walker

Mary Sue Paty Walker of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 29, 1934 in Prattsville, Arkansas the daughter of the late Earl Paty Sr. And Elsie Mae Beck Paty. She was a member of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church where for many years she served as church choir director and Sunday School teacher. She had retired from the Grant County Nursing Home as Social and Activity Director and was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Walker died at her home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the age of 79. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Earl Paty, Jr. And Dennis Jack Paty. Survivors are her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, C.S. Walker of Sheridan; sons, Robert Wayne Walker and wife Edna of Surgoinsville, Tennessee; Edwin Earl "Eddie" Walker and wife Kay of Churchill, Tennessee; James Adrain Walker and LaDonna of Churchill, Tennessee; daughter, Donna Freeman and husband Tommy of Sheridan; sister, Faye Welch and husband John of Sheridan; 9 grandchildren, Kirby Walker, Mathew Walker, Candice Walker Smith, Samuel Walker, Michael Walker, Rachel Walker Jones, Austin Walker, Joshua Freeman and Cameron Freeman, seven great -grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Lankford, Bro. Danny Hill and her grandson, Bro. Joshua Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Ephesus Cemetery (Hood #1) behind Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Walker requested that in lieu of flowers, she would like donations to be made to Sheridan Animal Control Adoption Center, 304 Gatzke Drive, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
