Mary O'Dean Rawls

Mary O'Dean Michael Rawls of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 14, 1939 near Redfield, the daughter of the late Ralph and Margie Kelley Michael. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan for over 40 years, and had worked at Sterling Faucet, as well as having been an independent poultry grower. O'Dean enjoyed growing flowers, reading, fishing, helping other people, and anything to do with cats. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her granddaughter, Sarah Grace. Ms. Rawls died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at her home, at the age of 74. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Wallace and Dorothy "Dot" Cruce and an infant brother, Bunny Michael. Survivors include her sons, David and wife Leisha Rawls and Scott Rawls, all of Sheridan; brothers, Bob Michael and Carroll Michael; sisters, Alma Carroll, Arlene Harris, Ruth Pye, Doris McCombs, and Helen Caplinger; also survived by her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. David Tucker and Bro. Al Michael officiating. Burial will be at Jones Cemetery, near Redfield. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to North Main Baptist Church.
