Stanley Hilborn, age 79, of Glen Rose passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was born August 21, 1934, in Glen Rose, the son of the late Roy Benjamin and Hattie Floyd Hilborn. Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting and being at the lake. Stanley graduated from Glen Rose High School in 1952 and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Reynolds Metal then worked at Benton State Bank for many years. Stanley was a member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors, wife, Dorothy Jones Hilborn; son, Alan Hilborn (Karen) of Benton; daughter, Amy Stone (Pete) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; brothers, Richard Hilborn (Sue) of Cave City, Arkansas and Boyce Hilborn (Barbara) of Benton; sister, Janice Riggan (Larry) of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Aaron Hilborn (Amanda) of Benton and Ashley Hilborn of Little Rock; great-grandchild, who was born on Stanley's birthday, Hollyn Hilborn and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 17 at 10 a.m. at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Kenny Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Fairplay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Tuggle, Rodney Tuggle, Dewayne Lambert, Keith Crawford, Tommy Caudle, Lee Hilborn, Chris Hilborn, Bobby Raines and Jeff Armstrong.
