Forrest B. Arnold

Forrest B. Arnold of Sheridan, Ark. was born Jan. 7, 1938 at Sheridan, the son of the late Forrest Ballard Arnold and Valerie Helen Carver Arnold McKinley. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years. He was a veteran of both Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to being retired from the Army, he was also a retired computer programmer for the State of Arkansas. He loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to people. Mr. Arnold died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 76. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Herman J. McKinley. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Deanna Matthews Arnold of Sheridan; sons, Greg Arnold of Sheridan, Rusty Arnold of Bryant and Clif Arnold of North Little Rock; daughter, Sheryl Lynn and husband James Wagner of Sheridan; half-brother, Bobby McGhee of Hammond, Ind.; grandchildren, Bailey, Conner, Dustin, Garrett, Kyle, Noah, Bret, Tyler, Amber, Brandon, and Cody; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Andy, Bryce, and Bentley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will be in Rhodes Cemetery.
