Coach Michael Taylor, 45, of Perry, laid his whistle down Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born October 15, 1968, in Little Rock, son of the late W. O. and Diana Ruth Cellars Taylor. He loved the Lord, his family, sports, squirrel hunting and good BBQ. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Taylor; 3 daughters, Kayla and husband Jonathon Richards of Hot Springs, McKinsey Taylor of Conway, and Kassidy Taylor of the home; granddaughter, Claire Richards; mammaw, Mary Ellen Myers; sister, Michelle Taylor of Cabot; brother, Derek Taylor of Higden; father and mother-in-law, Randal and Patsy Isom; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and wife Tina Isom of Atkins; numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, and former students and athletes. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, May 24, at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. John Martin, Bro. Brad Finkbiener, Bro. Jeff Piker and Bro. Larry Wood officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers are Marion Glover, P.J. Jordan, Tommy Cody, James Galarza, B.J. Applegate, Jeff Piker, Travis Lyda and Greg Harris. Honorary pallbearers are all nephews, Jimmy Middleton, Jerry Richards, Dwayne Pritchard, Dudley Myer, Coach Gary Childress, Coach Charlie Sorrels, Steve Woods, Tony Taylor, Patrick Carter, Taylor Collier, Lane Woods, Matthew Piker, Micah Piker, David Piker, Jeff Abbot, Tyler Wood and Jason Wilson. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to UAMS staff, Petit Jean Home Health, Dr. Carter, and employees of Arkansas Hospice and the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.
