Jimmie Ray Hardester, 70, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, died on October 17th, 2014. "Jim" Hardester, loving son of Frank and Pearl Hardester, passed away on October 17th at the Arkansas V.A. Hospital. He is survived by his four children, Michael (Charlene) Hardester, Mendy (Gerald) Hardester Dominguez, Courtney Rodgers, and Jordan Rodgers. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Tyler, Lane, Maddison, Sierra, Joseph, Jason and Isabella, and his niece Ramona Roberts, all living in Central Arkansas, as well as his brother, Steve (Sandy) Crawford, who lives in Missouri. Jim was a proud Marine, honorably discharged in 1966. In 1969 he joined the Little Rock Police Department, serving as a police officer with passion and dedication until his retirement in 1986. He was deeply honored when Michael chose to follow in his footsteps with great talent and success. Jim also passed along a fascination with history and bird watching to Mendy, an obsession for reading and writing to Courtney and an astonishing wit and intelligence to Jordan. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. His services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Visit ion will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
