Madge Bryant Johnson

Madge Bryant Johnson, 89, of Warren died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Preceding her in death were her husband, Loran L. Johnson; parents, Samuel and Pansy Lewis Bryant of Warren; sisters, Emma Rodgers of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Jimmie Payne of Elgin, Texas. Survivors include son, Wayne Lewis Johnson and wife, Susan, of Warren; daughters, LoraNelle Humphrey and husband, Carl, of Stuttgart and Camille Johnson Lide of Little Rock. She is also survived by grandsons, Bryan Humphrey and wife, Hannah, of Park City, Utah, Allan Humphrey and wife, Sydney, of Monticello and David Lide of Little Rock; great-grandson, Finn Humphrey of Park City, Utah; sister, Wanna Payne of El Dorado. She was a former teacher, homemaker and loving wife, mother and Mimi to her beloved family. Mrs. Johnson was a 1943 graduate of Warren High School and a lifelong resident of the Prospect Community. She was a 1948 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BSE in home economics, she resided in the 4-H House. She drew on her many skills and talents to make a wonderful home for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Warren. Wayman Mann will officiate the graveside service at Parker-Prospect Cemetery near Warren at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.
