George Allen Collins

George Allen Collins, 67, of Sheridan passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at his hime. He was born August 23, 1947 in Clovis, Calif. to the late Vernie George and Mary Jeanette Godrey Collins. Mr. Collins served in the U.S. Navy and was a manager in the retail grocery business. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, June Collins and his sons, Tracy Collins and wife Jennifer of Orlando, Fla. and Michael Collins and wife Carrie of Sheridan, Ark. Survivors also include his beloved granddaughters, Lawson and Paisley; his sisters, Mary and spouse Joe Berry, of Little Rock; Peggy and spouse Maburn King of Sheridan, and Becky Collins of Little Rock, and a host of family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Joe Berry officiating.
