Maxine Marilyn Moore

Maxine Marilyn Moore, formerly of Magnolia, died September 23, 2014 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale after a long illness. Born May 5, 1930 in Manila, Philippines, Marilyn was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Field. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 62 years, Robert Horace Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Moore Wheatley and husband, George, her granddaughter, Erin Wheatley Parker and husband, Jonathan and great-grandchildren, Wheatley Claire Parker, Reynolds Philip Parker and Savannah Grace Parker all of Fayetteville; nieces, Donna H. Kelley (Rick Jarrett) and Diana Hubbard of Charleston, West Virginia and nephew, Charles Field Hubbard (Sandy) of Mobile, Alabama, as well as dear great-nieces and nephews and friends of all ages. Mrs. Moore will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother and dearly beloved by her husband, daughter, granddaughter, family and friends. She was a long-time member and supporter of Magnolia Quota Club, Magnolia B&PW Organization, the Columbia County Republican Party, the Alzheimer's Association and other charities and worthy causes. Marilyn served the State of Arkansas on the Governor's Advisory Board on Aging for many years. Marilyn graduated from Texarkana Texas High and attended Magnolia A&M. For many years, Marilyn worked in Magnolia High School administration. She was the long-time owner of C.B. Form Company and Home Cabinet Shop in Magnolia. Her ties with the Magnolia community remained strong throughout her life. She enjoyed loving relationships with her family and the many parents and children of Kathy's Dance Arts Studio. Marilyn was an avid reader and loved to travel. The love and joy she shared with her family will be deeply missed. Visitation is Thursday, September 25 at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia from 6-8 p.m. Services will be in their Chapel on Friday, September 26 at 10 a.m. with Dr. Raymond Cammack officiating. Interment in Magnolia Memorial Park. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association [alz.org] and Circle of Life Hospice [nwacircleoflife.com].
