On Saturday, September 27, 2014, James L. Halcumb joined his loved ones in Heaven, being preceded by his daddy and mother, James Ervin and Grace Halcumb; and sister, Helen Webb. He leaves behind his family, that will miss him greatly – wife, Sandra Halcumb; sons, Robert and Jimmy Halcumb; daughters, Kerri Halcumb-Evans and Amanda Halcumb; and spouses; grandchildren, Hunter, Bailee, and Brianna Evans, Scarlett, Nevan, Kristin, and Bentley Halcumb; sisters, Lena Roberson, Darlis LaRue, Sue Shirley; and brother, Lonnie Halcumb. In his lifetime, Lloyd spent a lot of time doing the things he loved. He was a fireman, motorcycle patrolman, commercial flight instructor, helicopter pilot, and most of all, he was a Daddy and PawPaw. He also served nine years in the Arkansas Army National Guard, and sang several years with the Traveler's Quartet. Services to remember him by will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 1st at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
