Otis L. Tolbert (Big O) left this world for his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was borne to the late Jake and Mary Ella Tolbert on June 9, 1945. He was a long time member of Warren Hill MBC, on Crystal Hill Road, where he served as deacon. He was a 33° Mason, Prince Hall Affiliation Southern Jurisdiction. Otis was a proud graduate of Viola A. Harris High School, in McAlmont, Ark. Shortly after graduating he went to work for Coca Cola Bottlers of Little Rock, where he worked his way up until he retired in October of 2005 after 42 years of dedicated service. After retiring he started work for PCSSD in transportation, where he not only truly loved the job but the people with whom he worked. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Warren and Kenneth and one sister Flora Mae, one sister-in-law, Eddis Allen and nephew Kenyana. He is survived by his loved wife and soul mate of 49 years, Rosie Tolbert, sons and daughters-in-law, Otis Tolbert Jr. and Patricia and Eric Paul and Michelle, three granddaughters that he cherished with all his heart, Ariana, Sabrina and Fallon and God children Shani and Akil Marrow. Otis is also survived by his brothers, Brazile Tolbert, Joe Tolbert (Gloria), William (Bill) Tolbert (Joyce) Melvin Tolbert and Donald Tolbert (Greta), a very special sister, Catherine Calloway and many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Rest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Rock of Ages MBC. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
