Tim Welch

Tim Welch was born July 28, 1962, in Batesville, Arkansas, son of Bob and Louise Welch. He departed this life April 2, 2015, in Batesville, Arkansas, at the age of 52 years, eight months and five days. Tim attended Salem High School and later resided in Scott, Arkansas. He was a truck driver for Land O'Frost along side his wife Mary and dog Binky. He had a passion for flying his airplane and the Razorbacks. There was never a dull moment when Tim was around. His quick wit kept everyone on their toes. He brought much joy and laughter to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of adventure, and ever present smile. Tim lived every moment to the fullest and experienced life more fully, in his short time, than most do in an entire lifetime. Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Welch; mother, Louise Welch; a son, Logan Welch (Heather); one grandchild, Addilyn Welch; two stepsons, J.C. and Jet Lemaster; two brothers, John Ed Welch (Linda), and Robert Welch; one sister, Fran Mitchum (Robert); two nephews, Jeff Welch (Kacy), and Justin Welch; three nieces, Jamie Martin (Seth), Casey and Sidney Mitchum; beloved dog, Binky Lee; many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was known as "Papa Tim" to Laiken and Kassie Estes, and "Poppy" to Pier Skidgel, and Jayden, Rylee and Memphis Lemaster. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Welch and a son, Jonathon Welch. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015, 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges and Logan Welch officiating. Music by Susan Wyatt with readings by Mary Welch, Heather Welch and Jet Lemaster. The family requests if you attend the service wear jeans and a Razorback shirt or dress casual.
