Bill Jean Chester

Bill Jean Chester, 84, of Springdale died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born March 25, 1931 in Plainview, Ark. to Zack and Hattie Roundsaville Chester. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was an Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict; owned and operated service stations in Topeka, Kan.; retired from the City of Fayetteville Water Department; enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening; and was a fan of the Razorbacks and NASCAR. Survived by his wife, Virginia Nelson Chester of the home; son, Larry Chester and wife, Alicea of Farmington; daughter, Barbara Paschke and husband, Bill of Fayetteville; brother, Claudel Chester of Oregon; sister, Lu Smith of Independence, Mo.; and grandchildren, Holi Graham and husband, Andrew; Nelson Chester; and Cameron Paschke. The family will receive friends from 8:30-9:45 a.m. at Beard's Chapel on Monday, April 13, 2015 with private graveside services following at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Pastor Clint Schnekloth officiating.
