Ray E. Stancil Jr., 80, of Mabelvale passed away on April 18, 2015. He was born on November 4, 1934 to the late, Raymond and Colean Stancil in Little Rock, Ark. He was a mechanic for 60 years and retired from Stancil's Volvo in 2008. Ray loved motorcycles and drag racing and he still holds an Arkansas State Championship for drag racing. He was an avid member of the Arkansas Quarter Horse Association where he won numerous awards for showing his horses. Ray proudly served in the United States Air National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents; Raymond Stancil Sr. and Colean Hudspeth; step-father, Claude Hudspeth and sister, Anita Wilkinson. Ray is survived by his children; Edward Ray Stancil (Donna), Terrie Linn (Alan) and Jamie Lee; grandchildren, Leslie, Eddie, Christy, Carson, Amber, D.J., Kimber and Abby; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and family who all loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In honor of Ray the family would like you to join them on your bike for a memorial ride to the cemetery then on to Rodney's Cycle House, 9110 Interstate 30, Little Rock after the graveside family and friends are welcome to join.
