James Edwards Richards, Jr.

James "Jim" Richards, Jr. was born in Georgiana, Alabama-Butler County on February 6, 1942. He's the son of the late Harry L. and Ruth Richards. After graduating high school in Niagara Falls, N.Y., he enlisted in the US Air Force and was on active duty for 8 years. He was employed at the VA Hospital until his retirement. His wife of 25 years, Dorothy "Dot" Richards, was the love of his life. She preceded him. James is survived by his: sisters, Alene Drinks (Newton) and Jewell Lee; and brother, Harry Richards Jr. all residing in Niagara Falls, N.Y. His family and friends will miss him greatly. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2015, 3-5 p.m. The funeral ceremony will be Friday, August 14, 2015, 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
