Willis Scott Fitzwater

Willis Scott Fitzwater, age 59, of Sheridan, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born May 29, 1956 in Monticello, Ark. to the late Liggett C. Fitzwater and LaFran Scott Fitzwater. He was a machinist and loom operator for Next Wire Corporation where he was employed for 34 years, former owner of Goldworks Jewelry in Warren, and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Nugent Fitzwater of Sheridan; two daughters, Shea Long and husband, Jonathan of Bryant and Alissa Green and husband, Michael of Benton; one brother, Cliff Fitzwater and wife, Becky of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Lauren, Caleb, Colin, and Gabrielle; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
