Theodore "Ted" A. Bessette, Jr., age 52, of Scott, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. He was a man among men. A legend in his own time. Loving husband, father, brother, and generous caretaker. No one knew the bounty of hard-work and dedication more. He believed that life was what you made it and he brought cheer to every situation, including his own successful battle with cancer. As a champion athlete in high school and college, he knew how to be a team player all his life. His generosity and giving spirit made sure he never knew a stranger and directly contributed to his ever-expanding group of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Ted touched those he met deeply and created friendships that lasted and strengthened over time. A casual meeting with Ted could transform one's life; he met his wife of 30 years on both her first day of college and her 18th birthday. Every person who met him has a story about how he touched their life. He passed surrounded by his family and dearest friends who know he is somewhere over the rainbow where troubles melt like lemon drops. He is survived by his wife Margaret; his daughters, Alexa (28), Lilly (18); his brothers, Frank and George and his sister, Margaret. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4106 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Little Rock, Ark. with visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock. Arrangements by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 501-791-7400.
