Preston Sanders

Preston L. Sanders, 75, of Springdale, passed peacefully from this life on Feb. 19, 2015. Preston was born on Feb. 16, 1940 in Prairie Grove, Ark. to Lowell and Irene Sanders. Preston was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Springdale and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Preston also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a Christian friend to everyone he met and witnessed in his own quiet way. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Reba. Survivors include his sister, Carol Jane Scott and husband Robert of Springdale; beloved niece, Gwen Wood and husband Curtis of Benton; grandnephew, Carter; and grandniece, Emily also of Benton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Visitation will precede the service, starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Bluff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Circle of Life hospice in Springdale.
