Daniel (Danny) Thomas Smith, age 32, of Springdale, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois. He was born November 7, 1982 at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Rickey Lee Smith and Denise Nannette Fuller. He gave his life to the Lord on November, 5, 1994 and was baptized on November 20, 1994 by Pastor Johnny Sisemore at Faith Regular Baptist Church in Elm Springs, Arkansas. Danny graduated from Shiloh Christian School in 2001 and was honored to have played football under Coach Gus Malzahn, when Shiloh won the State Championship for the first time. Danny loved animals, especially horses, and was a dedicated "cowboy" most of his life. On July 7, 2007, he married Autumn Lynn Walling at Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista. She was just what he needed with her bubbling personality to go along with his quiet nature. Since that date, they have been blessed with two precious boys, Tanner Lee Smith, born November 22, 2010 and Cooper Thomas Smith, born September 8, 2014. Danny worked as a licensed realtor, then earned his builder's license and opened up his own company, Edgepoint Builders. He loved his work and with his sharp mind and love of people, did a great job. His employees have been faithful and caring during his illness and for this, his family is very grateful. Danny cared about each one of them and their families. He also enjoyed Paint Ball, going to the shooting range, and was a member of the Goshen Riding Club. Danny is survived by his wife, Autumn Smith, and his two sons, Tanner and Cooper of the home; both of his parents; three brothers, Rickey Smith, Jonathan Cole and Travis Boles; one sister, Kim Smith; grandparents, Larry and Mary Fuller of Lowell; Johnny and Danelle Carpenter of Elm Springs; and Evelyn Smith of Wolfe City, Texas. They are most honored to have had many friends who have stood faithfully by their side both night and day during his long illness, including his father-in-law. May God Bless each of you! A celebration of Danny's life will be held Saturday, February 28th at 10 a.m. at Elm Springs Methodist Church.
