Paul Eloy Compton

Paul Eloy Compton, 89, of Shirley, Ark. passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014. He was born March 29, 1925 in Parma, Ark. to George and Dona (Greenfield) Compton. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and served in Germany. He held a BSE degree from Arkansas State Teachers College. He worked 53 years in education and was president and owner of business colleges in Texas and Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Paul Compton; four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lois Berry Compton. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Shirley, Ark. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Ark.
