Gay Anderson Montgomery, of Russellville, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born in Hope, Ark., to Cecil Burl and Edna Inez Walker Anderson. She was the co-owner and co-operator for over 35 years of Montgomery Homes in Jacksonville, was a two-star judge for the Miss Arkansas Organization, an avid Razorback fan, and attended New Life Church in Russellville. She was the epitome of the word "lady", and loved her family with a passion. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Anderson; and two sisters, Vera Hines and Robbie Clark. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Paul David Montgomery; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula Gay and Michael Swindle of Russellville; and three grandchildren, Aubrey Elizabeth Reed, D. A. Reed and Asher Anderson Swindle. The funeral service will be a 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Russellville, officiate by the Rev. Mark Pagley and the Rev. Gail Brooks. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
