Elizabeth Ann Fine died in Little Rock, Ark. on January 26, 2015. She was born Elizabeth Ann Haynes on June 19, 1932, in Henrietta, Okla., to Thaddeus and Sarah Haynes. She grew up in a very poor household, never dreaming she'd later have the opportunity to travel the world and enjoy many of the finer things in life. She married Robert Fine on July 10, 1952. While Robert was in the Air Force, they and their daughters lived many places: Shreveport, La.; London, England; Altus, Okla.; and North Little Rock, Ark., where she worked for Twin City Bank in consumer loans. She and Robert moved to Germany for work in 1984, where they spent 4 years traveling the European continent and making dear friends. They then returned to NLR, where Elizabeth rejoined Twin City and stayed until her retirement in 1994. She and Robert retired to Diamondhead in Hot Springs, but returned to NLR in later years to be closer to their family. She is survived by her husband, with whom she spent the last few days of her life in the same room at hospice. She also leaves daughters, Sharon (Tony) Eckart of Alexander and Robin Borden of Sherwood; grandchildren, Michael Miller of Alexander, Beth Eckart of Little Rock, and Caroline Borden of Sherwood; her sister, Judith Haynes, of Tulsa, Okla.; brother-in-law, Ray Fine of West Plains, Mo.; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home on January 29 from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a rosary service. The Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Marche at 10:30 a.m. on January 30, with burial following at the Veterans Cemetery in NLR. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Eckart, Michael Miller, Larry Fine, Bob Fine, Ron Fine, and John Fine. A special thank you to Home Hospice Care of Little Rock for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
