Carol Ann Whitmire

Carol Ann Whitmire, 52 of Hoxie, finished her journey of this life on July 2, 2015. Born Oct. 24, 1962 in Jonesboro; daughter of Jerry Flippo and Peggy Pickrell. She lived in Lawrence County the greater part of her life, graduating from Black Rock High School and working at Frolic Footwear. She was also of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan David Whitmire; and a stepfather, Robert Walch. Survivors include her son, Alan David Whitmire II and wife Maya of Walnut Ridge; mother, Peggy Pickrell Walch of Yukon, Okla.; father, Jerry Flippo of Walnut Ridge; and many other relatives and friends.
