Eloise (Weezie) Carter Lukas, 76, passed away on July 1, 2015. Weezie was born in Shreveport, La. on July 2, 1938 to her parents, Albert (Buck) and Elsie Carter. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lukas; son, Jai Lambert; and daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Kyle Walker; stepdaughters, Gina Driggers and husband, Tommy and Janelle Widel and husband, David; sister, Mary Ruth Ball; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews all of whom loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Carter. Weezie was raised in El Dorado where she graduated high school in 1956. She then attended the University of Arkansas where she was a Chi Omega and was named Miss University of Arkansas in 1959. After raising two children, she went back to school at SAU and UAMS and became a registered nurse and later a successful advanced practice nurse (APN). Upon retirement, she worked with husband, Robert Lukas in their family business, Buck's Chimney Service in Little Rock and Benton. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish that donations be made to the Saline County Animal Shelter. A memorial celebration for Weezie will be announced at a later date.
