Helen Lucille Sanders Hart

Helen Lucille Sanders Hart was carried into Heaven at the age of 90 years on June 30, 2015 at Cambridge Court Assisted Living in Mesquite, Texas. She was born in Stamps, Ark. on Feb. 9, 1925. She was married on July 19, 1942 to Charlie Richmond Hart Jr. in Stamps, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2007 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Greeting her in Heaven were her parents, Joseph Narcott Sanders and Anna Holton Sanders, her brother, James Lee Sanders and daughter-in-law, Betty Law Hart. She is survived by two sons, Charlie Richmond Hart III of Springfield, Ga. and James Marshall Hart and wife, Margaret, of Mesquite, Texas. She was known as Grandma to seven granddaughters: Teresa Hart of Rincon, Ga.: Beverly Hart of Springfield, Ga.: C. Rennae Griffin of Savannah, Ga.; Juanice Davenport (Jeremy) of Sherwood, Ark.; Becky Lemons (Darren) of Heartland, Texas; Beth Hart of Mesquite, Texas; and Jennifer Lamb (Daniel) of Forney, Texas. She had one great-granddaughter and six great-grandsons: Sarah Isabelle, Riley Powell, Taylor Powell and Casey Powell, Graham Davenport, Daylen Lemons and Jase Lemons. She is also survived by one niece, Sandra Kinley of Camden, Ark. Helen worked as Unit Secretary at Jefferson Regional Hospital in Pine Bluff, Ark. for many years. Following her husband's retirement from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, she and Charlie volunteered thousands of hours at Jefferson Regional Hospital. She served as President of the JRMC Medical Auxiliary. They were given several awards including Volunteers of the Year and the Kahn Award for their volunteer work with The American Red Cross, JRMC Medical Auxiliary and The Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church, White Hall before moving to Texas to live with her son following the death of her husband in 2007. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, Mesquite, Texas until her failing health and a move into an assisted living facility. Visitation will be at New Hope Funeral Home on Monday night, July 6, 2015 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Funeral arrangements will be conducted at New Hope Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Brother Charles Breithaupt and Brother Bob Whitten officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Memorial Park Cemetery, White Hall, Ark. with Bro. Darren Lemons officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Refuge, Terrell, Texas in care of Friendship Baptist Church, 820 Pioneer Road, Mesquite, Texas 75149.
