Mary Lee Johnson DeBono

Mary Lee Johnson Buie DeBono of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 20, 1941 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Paul H. and Mary Lessie Ault Johnson. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. She was Vice President for Member Service Federal Credit Union for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling the world, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. Mary died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Alcoa Pines Health and Rehab Center in Benton at the age of 74. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lola Wortman and Valeta Young and brothers-in-law, Leonard Turnbow and Ruben Barnes. Survivors: husband, Leslie DeBono of Avoca Victoria Australia; daughters, Deborah Williams and husband Perry, Denise Shoptaw all of Prattsville; sisters, Bonnie Turnbow Blackford and husband Derek of Slidell, Texas; Martha Barnes Sneed and husband Chuck of Sheridan; Reba Cargile of Conway; father of her children, Robert Buie of Prattsville; brothers-in-law, Frank Lee Young of Sheridan, Carlton Wortman of Des Arc; grandchildren, Shannon Shumate (Brent), Chase Mangiapane (Amanda), Megan Williams, Stephen Shoptaw, Michelle Hebert (John), Troy Buie and Natalie Buie; great-grandchildren, Brendon, Madison, Blane, Tyler and Trenton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Ain Cemetery in Grapevine with Bro. Don Goodman and Bro. Danny Hill officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
