Jimmie Dallas Barrack

Jimmie Dallas Barrack, 78, of Springdale, Arkansas died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 9, 1936 in Springdale, Arkansas to Dallas Ray and Margaret E. (Sanders) Barrack. Jim served in the 101st Airborne Division and the 12th Special Forces Group of the U.S. Army, deployed for Operation Just Cause, and attained Sergeant First Class. He earned an MS in Microbiology from the University of Arkansas and applied it during his long career as a senior quality assurance leader of Tyson Foods. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his son, James D. Barrack; and his wife, Anne L. Barrack. He is survived by his son, Colonel Greg Barrack (Jonna) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their three children; his step-daughter, Rev. Lacy Largent of Houston, Texas; his step-son, John Largent (Telma) of Tampa, Florida, and their five children; his brother, Wayne Barrack of Springdale, Arkansas; and his sister, Helen Huff of Fayetteville, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held at Elm Springs Cemetery on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. Rev. Lacy Largent will officiate.
