Ann Scott Algee, 71, of Hot Springs, was escorted by God's Angels to the special place prepared for her on July 29, 2015. She was born May 12, 1944 in Prescott, Arkansas to Sam Vick Scott and Ruby Mae Crumby Scott. At the time of her birth her daddy was in England preparing for his landing on Omaha Beach. Ann married Harold Algee in 1965. They had a wonderful life together and are looking forward to being reunited in their heavenly home. They traveled the 50 states together, 48 of those with their children and Ann's parents. Ann and Harold both served school districts throughout Arkansas, in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Bentonville, Mountain View, Greenland, Gould, Cross County, Mt. Ida, and Cutter Morning Star. During a 36 year period Ann served as a Librarian and Harold as a teacher, principal and superintendent. Ann and Harold both loved every one of their students and dedicated their lives to working with young people. Ann had a kind, gentle, generous spirit and she had a great love of children and animals. She was a dedicated, caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is so loved and will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Ann was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs. Ann is preceded in death by her father, Sam Vick Scott. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Scott of Hot Springs, her husband, Harold Algee of Hot Springs, her children Paul Algee (Lyndsey) of Fayetteville, Carrie Ann Nelson (Donald) of Rincon, Georgia; three grandchildren, Emma, Braydon Beau, and Claire Ann; her brother, Sam Vick Scott, Jr. (Kim) of Cabot, sister, Kay Scott Carnes (Tom) of Hot Springs Village and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held at Gross Funeral Home Saturday, August 1st at 10 a.m. with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Caring Place of Hot Springs.
