Shirley Helton, 75, of Russellville, formerly of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born March 27, 1940, in Little Rock, to Harry Bernard and Hattie Lou Adams Rowland. She was a retired secretary, and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, baseball, football and volleyball and was an avid Razorback fan and the #1 Cyclone volleyball fan. She looked forward each year to her flowers outside. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger Helton. Survivors include a son, Keith Helton (Jennifer) of North Little Rock; two daughters, Renee Rhoads (David Yount) of North Little Rock, and Cindy Jones (Joey) of Russellville; a sister, Linda Crafton (James) of Russellville; four grandchildren, Chris Rhoads, Baker Helton, Cody Jones and Sawyer James; three great-grandchildren, Sophee Rhoads, Shay Stewart and Parker Stewart; and a great-grandchild on the way. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by Harry Komprood. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Active pallbearers will be Chris Rhoads, Baker Helton, Cody Jones, Sawyer James, Kyle Crafton and Ron Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Crafton and Joe Williams.
