Scott E. Starner

Scott E. Starner, 37, of Little Flock, Ark. passed away June 8, 2015. He was born Dec. 9, 1977 to Tim and Candi Starner in Fresno, Calif., but was a long time resident of Northwest Arkansas since 1979. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1996. He then attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After the U of A, he attended MU in Columbia, Mo. where he worked part time for a local winery. He later went on to flight school where he obtained his pilots license. He spent the last two years working at Starner Tax Group as a tax preparer studying to take his Enrolled Agent Exam. Scott loved spending time on the lake with his friends and family, skiing and listening to beach music like Jimmy Buffett. He also enjoyed taking his motorcycle on scenic rides through the countryside. He loved his two dogs, Aspen and Jackson, which were inseparable. He had a huge heart and always wanted the best for the ones he cared about. He is survived by his father and mother Tim and Candi Starner; two brothers, Robby (32) and Clayton Starner (22); sister in law Hailey Starner (27); two nephews, Josh (11) and Trey (19 mo.), and niece Emily (7). Funeral service will be held at Twelve Corners Baptist Church led by Brother Rick Booyer in Garfield on Monday June 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. Scott would have wanted any condolences for his family to be donated to Arkansas Children's Hospital or the Special Olympics Foundation in memory of his late brothers, Steven and Michael Starner.
