Lenard "Leon" Smith

LENARD "LEON" SMITH, 75, of Woodson, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, James "Garfield" and Essie (McGill) Smith, three brothers, three sisters, and a grandson. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Burke Smith, a daughter, Desiree' Bell (David), three step-daughters, Sandy Skinner, Sharon Houlette (Dave), Shirley Harris (Rob), 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister. Leon graduated Fuller High School in 1957. He retired from Associated Management Co. and pursued his love of gardening. He was an active member of Lone Pine Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Pine Missionary Baptist Church in Hensley. Burial will be at Woodson Cemetery.
