David Steven "Dave" Lachance

David Steven "Dave" Lachance, 57, of Springdale, died Monday, March 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born September 12, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dave enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, doing yard work, working out, and visiting with the neighbors. He worked for Tyson Foods in IT for several years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy McKinnon, his mother, Jane Smith, and a brother, Jesse Lachance. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Lachance of the home; three children, Orestes Ortega, III, of Fayetteville, David C. Lachance and Sara Lachance both of Springdale; his granddaughter, Faylind McKinnon of Gentry; his father, Wil Lachance of Utah; his step-father, Robert Smith of Utah; four sisters, Michelle Spencer of Utah, Jeanne Lance of Missouri, Yvonne Lachance of Utah, Alison Barnes of Wisconsin; one brother, Michael Lachance of New York; and a special uncle, Robert Vincent of Pennsylvania. The family would like to thank special friends, Eddie Donaldson, Dinesh Hedge, Janet Hudgins, and the Trade Management Team at Tyson Foods. A memorial reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Dave and Vicky's home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
