John Warren Womble Jr., 95, of Springdale went Home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 21, 2015. Warren was born March 15, 1920 to John Warren Womble and Floyd Adelia Walls, in Aylesworth, Oklahoma. He was a remarkable man. He grew up playing basketball & tennis during his years while attending Southeastern State in Durant, Oklahoma where he had spent his childhood years. He had coached with the United States Olympics Basketball Team, during the years of 1952 and 1960. Warren served in the United States Army and first job was with North American, then Dr, Pepper Bottling Company. He later worked in Management with Caterpillar Corporation until he retired in 1985 in Peoria, Illinois. He met his beautiful bride, Hazel and got married Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, September 1, 1941, where she was a boarder at his parents shop and home. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Warren is survived by his wife, Hazel Willis Womble, one daughter Donna Womble Bimm, son-in-law, Edgar Michael Bimm, and two grandsons, Sean Michael Bimm & Jeremy Todd Bimm, and four great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be at a later date. Memorials may be sent to: The donor's choice to The United Methodist Church, or to The American Cancer Society.
