Alene McLaughlin

Alene McLaughlin, age 89, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2015, in Springdale. She was born June 13, 1925 in Taney County, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Harrison and Ada Ethel Braden Dunn. She attended First Assembly of God Church in Springdale and had worked taking care of children. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching game shows on television. She is preceded by her parents and one son, Donald McLaughlin. She is survived by four sons: Ron McLaughlin and his wife, Mildred of Lowell; Gary McLaughlin and his wife, Susan of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Jerry Wayne McLaughlin and his wife, Mary Jane of the Philippines; and Jeff McLaughlin and his wife, Tammy of Springdale; two brothers: Charles Homer Dunn of Stillwell, Oklahoma and Leonard Dunn of Lowell; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 1 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Springdale with Pastor Bob Fant and Pastor Don Nye officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery.
