Harvey "Joe" Johnson, age 61 of Eudora, passed away, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana, born September 24, 1953 to the late Felton Johnson and late Lorece Hendrix Johnson. He was a truck driver for agricultural farmers, he also was operator of the Indian Switch rural water association, and a member of the Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, of Eudora, Arkansas. Survivors include his wife, Margie Blansett Johnson of Eudora, a son, Justin Johnson and wife, Michelle, of Eudora; a daughter, Kathy Bowers and husband, John, of Lake Providence, Louisiana; three brothers, Carl Johnson of Pine Bluff, Johnny Johnson of Crump, Tennessee, and Richard Johnson of Crossett; seven sisters, Barbara Hillman, Elsie Taylor, Eva Dalton, all of Eudora, Kathy Cain of Tyler, Texas, Kay Moorman of Terry, Louisiana, Penny Byrd of Oak Grove, Louisiana, and Brenda Verser of Caddo Gap, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Tanner Bowers, Alyssa Bowers, and Wyatt Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Brock Allred, and Payden Duckworth; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Darlene Hagood. Celebration of Life Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015 with visitation starting at 2 p.m. at Eudora Baptist Church, in Eudora with Bro. Don Boyett and Bro. Bill Bearden officiating. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Eudora, Arkansas. Family request memorial be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
