Mrs. Lois Lea Clark, age 87, of Sheridan passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Malvern. She was born in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Denton Oris Rushing and Johnnie Gertrude Rushing. In 1948, Mrs. Clark received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and Alpha Chi Honor Society. Mrs. Clark was a charter member and organist of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Grace Sunday School Class, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sheridan Chapter #212 OES. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Dr. Curtis B. Clark of Sheridan; daughters, Karen Lea Smith and her husband, Dale of Mabelvale and Trudy M. Randolph and her husband, Mike of Russellville; special cousin, Mary Beth Glover-Wilson; nephews, Clark Dorr and Norman Clark; and special friends, Regina Hoffman and Mickie Smith. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Brother Shawn Hill and Dr. Randy Cloud officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Pallbearers are David Hooks, Dwight Simpson, Leonard Clegg, Jim Mayfield, Al Mangrum, and Dale Whitaker. Honorary Pallbearers are John L. Crouse, Ed Rutherford, David Reynolds, Tony Gatlin, Gary Kelly, Eddie Paul Woodall, American Legion Post #30, and Disabled American Veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Food Pantry at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, the Grant County Museum, or your favorite charity.
