On May 23, 2015, Dr. Patrick Lowery Weber passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by his adoring family and a caring medical team at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Pat Weber was born in Magnolia, Ark., on May 16, 1951. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1969. Pat excelled in sports, was all district in football, and a very proud member of the 1968 Magnolia Panther State Champions football squad. He graduated from Hendrix College and University of Arkansas School of Medicine. Dr. Weber was born into a family of physicians. His grandfather was a Captain of the Medical Corps during WWI, as was his father in WWII. Medicine took the Pat Weber family to Little Rock, El Dorado, Arkadelphia, and Texarkana. They built strong ties and lasting friendships in each of these communities. He loyally served his patients in family practice for years in Texarkana before fully committing to his calling of emergency medicine. Dr. Weber's unfailing passion for healing inspired countless young people to pursue careers in medicine, including his two sons. His patience was humbling and his kindness unfailing. He was always willing to ‘work just another shift', be it for his colleagues, patients and especially for his family. It is extremely meaningful to his family that in his last days, Dr. Weber was the recipient of exactly the kind of medical care he had always tried to administer, and would like to thank the entire medical community who attended to him with such professionalism and compassion. Dr. Weber was preceded in death by his beloved son Charles Patrick (Chuck) Weber, MD; his brothers, Mike Weber and Charles Weber, MD; his sister Charlanne Weber Reaves; and his parents Dr. and Mrs. Charles Weber. He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Mary Katherine Margrave Weber; their children, Katherine Elizabeth Weber of Texarkana, and Dr. Michael Andrew (Drew) Weber and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Tyler, TX; his "parents by marriage" for 42 years, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Margrave, Jr. of Texarkana; and the grandchildren who adored their "Poppy": Evelyn, Jackson, Martha, Chuck, and Smith. Holding a special place in his heart were Stephen and Tiffany Weber Bell, and their children, Charlie, Kate and Samantha of Shreveport, La.; Sarah and Bradley Romano of Texarkana, Texas; an enormous extended family who will miss him greatly; and friends, colleagues and patients who had the honor of knowing and loving Doc. A celebration of his life will be held at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Brad Morgan officiating under the directin of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane, Texarkana, Texas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 28 at Crestview Cemetery, Hot Springs, AR with Rev. David Wilson officiating under the direction of Gross Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Ark.
