Janet L. Jackson, 60, of Rose Bud, Ark., passed away Oct. 17, 2015, at her home in Rose Bud. Janet was born in Pekin, Ill. to Wayne and Christine Allison on Oct. 2, 1955. She went to high school at Bryant, graduating in 1973. She then attended Capital City Business College and later attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, earning a degree in accounting. She worked for the state of Arkansas, retiring from the Department of Human Services in 2012. She enjoyed decorating, shopping, movies, reading, sewing, spending time on the farm, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and family. Her parents, Wayne and Christine Allison, precede Janet in death. She is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Leah (John) Langanke of North Carolina; brother, Bill (Sharon) Allison of Benton; brother, Tim Allison of Rose Bud; two grandchildren, Caroline and Graham Langanke. Janet is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral service will be held at the Colony Church of Christ, 126 Highway 356, Bee Branch, Ark. 72013 on Oct. 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Carl Thomason of Colony Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Colony Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209, (501) 455-5800 on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015. Roller-Drummond Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Foundation for Transplants, 5350 Poplar Avenue, Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119.
