Roy Etchison

Roy Etchison, of Tontitown, Ark., was promoted to his heavenly home, Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at the age of 80 years. He was born Sept. 24, 1934 in Green Forest, Ark. to Troy and Ava Collier Etchison. Roy served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was united in marriage to Lily Fern Warren on July 4, 1959 in Urbanette, Ark. He was employed by Sisco Funeral Chapel for many years. Roy also ran a tax business for several years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. He loved his family and his time at his home where Roy and Fern resided until the time of his death. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Faye Doran. He is survived by his wife, Fern and daughter, Dana of the home; sons, David Etchison and wife, Renee and Danny Etchison and wife, Laura, all of Tontitown; four grandchildren: Danielle McFatridge and husband, Heston and Steven, Jacob, and Leah Etchison, all of Tontitown; three brothers: Gene Etchison of Ames, Okla., Carl Etchison of Rogers, and Joy Etchison of Imperial, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Roy will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale with Pastors Steve Curtis and Gene Jennings officiating.
