Daisy Allene Spencer

Daisy Allene Spencer of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Prescott, Ark. died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born May 9, 1925 in Chidester, Ark. to Allen and Daisy Frizzell Vandivere. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church of Prescott, Ark. Mrs. Spencer was active in the United Methodist Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, AR Retired Teacher Assoc., and the Prescott Kiwanis Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Delean Spencer; her parents; a sister, Martha Haltom; and a brother, Robert Vandivere. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Sue and William Lambert of Rayville, La. and Debbie and Bruce Powers of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren; Jeff Lambert (Nikki) of Collierville, Tenn., Bill Lambert (Ashley) of West Monroe, La., Stephanie David (Todd) of Conway, Ark., Lindsay Powers of Texarkana, Texas, and Ashley Powers of Little Rock, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, at First United Methodist Church Prescott, Ark. with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Rev. Phillip Dunn officiating.
