Pleas Eugene Davenport Sr., 88, of Marvell, Ark., passed March 31, 2016, was born to Ottaway and Bertha Littlejohn Davenport on June 4, 1927 in Clarendon, Arkansas. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 66 years, Mary Davenport, his children; Richard (Vera) of Chicago, Ill., Barbara (Cornelius) Dobbins of West Helena, Ark., Narzell (Yvonne) Davenport of Jacksonville, Ark., Pleas (Marian) Davenport Jr. of Conway, Ark., Phillip (Dora) Davenport of White Plains, Md., Ronald (Regina) Davenport of Conway, Ark., Donald (Sharon) Davenport of Memphis, Tenn., and Anthony (Donna) Davenport of Forrest city, Ark., 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one grand-God son, Joseph Shackelford, one sister, Inez (Welton) Davis of Southland, Ark., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Fountain Head M.B. Church. Rev. James Allen officiating. Viewing and final viewing will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, Clarendon, Ark.
