Ree Evaline Mills, born, 17 March 1916 went home to the Lord, 1 August 2016. She was born in Marble, Arkansas, (the daughter of Samuel and Martha Jane Hutton Qualls,) and is preceded in death by her husband, Claude William Mills, brothers, Fred and Vernon Qualls, sister, Margaret Berry, son, Claude Allen Mills, grandson, Michael Vincent Mills, and great-granddaughter, Britany Mills-Ledgerwood; yet, her loving memory lives on through a legacy of five generations including her sons Billy Paul Mills of Rogers and Jimmy Lynn Mills with his wife Phyllis of Springdale, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Born on St. Patty's Day, she was a lover of all things green; tending her gardens and making things grow wherever she's lived. She is fondly remembered especially for her endearing mischievous side – anyone who knew Ree would tell you she never lacked personality. She was a long-time member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church who loved music, travel, and painting. Services to celebrate her life will be held this Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Springdale. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. before the service at the church on Thursday. The Mills family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the members and staff of the Springdale Senior Center for providing such close fellowship to Ree over many, many years, and to the nurses and staff at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville for their compassionate care during her last days. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church, 499 Oak Grove Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
