Bobby Gene Lyons, 65, of Conway went to be with the Lord August 5, 2016. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 27, 1950 to Waylon Lyons and Mildred Harrington Lyons. Bobby worked for Union Pacific Rail Road, owned service stations and a restaurant. Mr. Lyons served in the US Army and was of the Catholic faith. He loved his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, coaching baseball, gardening, watching the Antique Road Show, and Wheel of Fortune. Bobby is survived by his wife of 23 years Melissa Rosetta Boydston Lyons, daughters, Jenny Fletcher and Ben Fletcher of Little Rock, Katherine Ham and Terry Ham of Conway, Nickie Starkey and Tom Starkey of San Angelo, Texas, B.J. Acklin and Fred Acklin of North Little Rock, son, Jesse Lyons of Conway, and his father Waylon Lyons of North Little Rock, brother, Jimmy Lyons and Loretta Lyons of North Little Rock; five Grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Lyons. Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 10th at Bishop-Crites Chapel with burial in Republican Cemetery. Rev. Ammon Collins will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Frankie Hardy, Justin Turney, Billy Turney, Chris Patterson, Zack McMullan, Byron Dugger and honorary pallbearer Brandon Boydston.
