George Wallace Eldridge III

Mr. George Wallace Eldridge, III, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home in Wynne, Arkansas. He was 91. Wallace was born on May 20, 1925 in Wynne, Arkansas, to George Wallace Eldridge, Jr. and Dorothy Block Eldridge. He was a farmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wynne, Arkansas. Wallace served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II from 1943 until 1946. He was an avid golfer and sportsman. Mr. Eldridge is survived by his daughters, Karan Lawson and husband Larry of Wynne, Arkansas, Lynne Turner and husband Ronnie of Wynne, Arkansas, and Leigh Dunston and husband Brian of Nashville, Tennessee, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Eve Ann Eldridge in 1977. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at The Club House at The Ridges at Village Creek State Park. Rev. Jeff Brawner will officiate.
